Hyderabad: JB Pharma, an Indian pharmaceutical company on Wednesday announced the setting up of 300 Heart Failure clinics across India, out of which 80 clinics will be functional across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The clinic, a single window for diagnosing heart failures at zero cost is going to be operational in January 2023. Depending upon the response, the pharma maker will be launching another 500 clinics in the next 18 months period.

With an approach to make medicine to treat heart failure affordable, JB Pharma recently slashed the price of its drug, Azmarda by 50 per cent, after which the price is reduced to Rs 39.6 per tablet from the previous Rs 78 per tablet.

Informing about the clinics, Dilip Singh Rathore, president- Domestic Business, JB Pharma said, "For detection of heart failure condition at an early stage, JB Pharma is coming up with Heart Failure clinics. The free of cost diagnosis which includes screening through our point of care machine will be undertaken here, besides the presence of trained para medical staff and a nutritionist, who will create awareness about heart failure and take forward the treatment course."
